“ This 1950s era outdoor diner is a fantastic spot for burgers, fries, hot dogs and milkshakes. The food and service were impeccable, and the entire shop, including the seating area, was spotlessly clean. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. ”

And they bring the condiments to you so you can add your own. The old-time juke box in front of you at the counter works and for a quarter you can hear an old song like when you were a kid. And the waitress gives you a card with her name so you know who is waiting on you. Out back there's tons of picnic style seating as well. We brought home a pound of the turkey to enjoy later. It's just that good. Make a trip, you won't be disappointed! ”

Hubby and I had a wonderful date night enjoying the wonderful picnic area that was beautifully landscaped while having dinner. Then dessert was the top of the night... The famous rootbeer float! “ I used to go to The White Turkey 25 years ago with my mom and god mom all the time as a kid. We moved away and I moved back as an adult and the good and people who work there are as amazing as ever! Real, good hot dogs, tender, juicy turkey and burgers that need no sauce. Onion rings that are the perfect thickness and of course the classic root beer float are all my fave things. A cute cozy "bar" area to sit at or the large picnic area with umbrellas. Or, if you wanted, take it to go! The White Turkey is a classic local staple of the area and even if I now live an hour away, I am more than willing to drive every summer when they open for the season. ”

“ Feels like a time warp, in a good way. My folks had the root beer floats and I got the cider float cause they’re open during October this year! The Large Marge, Turkey Sandy and Big Ed were perfect as were my onion rings and the folks fries and chili cheese fries! Riley (server) was on her game and made the most perfect floats. So glad I made it out for this and was pleasantly surprised at all the folks wearing Harris hats and shirts and the signs...in Ohio! Perfect start to the holiday weekend. Oh and remember to bring cash cause just like the 50s, they only take cash. ”
